Well- I'm due today and I have a 2 wk. old already! I can't believe how fast the past 2 weeks have gone. We've all adjusted quite well to the changes that have happened. Eli is still doing a great job as a big brother. Adi is slowly starting to spend a little more time awake each day, and still has her nightly routine down of getting up at 2 to eat, then again about 6. We have been busy this week getting ready for Adilyne's baptism this weekend. We'll have a little get-together with dinner back at our house after to celebrate. Should be a lot of fun! It will be a little interesting getting two little ones ready...Last weekend for church I started preparing 2 hrs. early, and I was still putting my coat and shoes on in the car as Chad drove! It amazes me how much longer things take...

Adilyne Jean- 6 days

We had Adi's newborn pictures taken at 6 days old. She already looks bigger on these! I can't believe how fast she's growing! Must be because she eats so well! She continues to be a good baby for us, and you can see how much Eliott loves her!

Here's what we have been doing...

Laying in Mommy and Daddy's bed. The first thing Eli wants every morning when he gets up is 'his baby'. He has to give her hugs and kisses:)

Yes, Eliott is wearing a skunk costume!!!! It looks so funny, you just have to laugh every time you look at him. He is going to be a skunk for Halloween, and I made the mistake of showing him the costume a little too early! I was thinking that he wouldn't want to wear it, that he'd be a little scared of it. It is actually quite the opposite of what I thought. We can't get it off of him! Whenever he has the option of what he gets to wear, this is what he chooses. We actually have it hidden most of the time- I'm not ready to take a skunk in public. Maybe in time I won't care anymore! As far as Eli as a big brother- He is wonderful!!! We were pretty nervous about how he would react to a new baby in the house. He couldn't be better with her. He loves his baby sister, and showers her with hugs and kisses. At the same time, he just leaves her alone for the most part. I can trust that if I walk away for a minute that he will leave her be. Although, I did see him try to 'gently' drive a tractor on her head the other day, but I have a feeling this won't be the last time! Poor little girl may end up with skid marks on her forehead! She'll be tough, though!

Adilyne is doing great! She is such a good baby, we sure are lucky! 2 nights ago I finally had to wake her up at 5:15 am to feed her. Yes, for the first time all night, I had to wake her to feed her! We sure can't complain about that! A typical night for her is to bed by 9:30, she eats at 2:00 am, and then again about 5:30 am. She like to sleep in then in the morning. She is still in bed right now, and it's 9:40!! Hopefully she'll be up soon. I really want to hold her! During the day she spends lots of time sleeping. We spend lots of time just looking at her.....such a perfect little baby:)

Minutes old.

We have been blessed with a beautiful little baby girl!!! We are so excited! She made a very quick and easy entrance into the world. For that, Mommy is soooo thankful! She arrived at 3:20 a.m. on Thursday morning after 4 minutes and 2 pushes! Perfect! She is a miniture, feminine version of her big brother. Weighing in at 6 lb. 12 oz, and 19.5 inches long. We love her so much! She's the perfect addition to our family:)

Yes, I am still at home, and yes, I am getting very impatient!!! I have had many contractions in the past 5 days that have made me think we might be ready, but unfortunately, they always stop! I'm to the point where I'm just ready to be done. About last week, Wednesday that started. Up until that point I was feeling great, and the baby was just fine where it was at. I no longer feel great, and I CAN'T WAIT to see if it's a boy or a girl!!!!! I'm so happy we waited to find out. What a great reward in the end after a LONG 9 months!

Eliott has been doing great, and I'm wondering if he is starting to understand a little more what is going on. I did get him some books about being a big brother, and new baby. He really likes the Little Critter New Baby book. That's always one of the 3 he chooses to read before nap and bed. I hope he does well with s/he. We will find out soon enough! He had ECFE again last night. He really seems to enjoy it. We get lots of screams (happy) when we tell him he gets to go to school. He loves to paint, and do playdough, and is really starting to like circle time too, where they sing songs. Even though he's the youngest one there, he seems to fit in just fine!

I need to post some updated pictures of Eli and the baby's rooms. The problem is, is that the camera is packed in the hospital bag, which is in my car. Maybe tonight I'll dig it out. My parents came over last week, and we had my dad very busy haging things up. We finally got Eli's name on the wall. My dad also re-painted an old rocking chair, and brought that over last week. To fit it in the baby's room we had to do some re-arranging. I'll try to update later.

I do have another appt. today, so we'll see what happens. As of last week I was dialated to a 3 and 80%. Hopefully there has been some progress!
