Christmas 2009

We had a wonderful Christmas with all our friends and family! It was a busy couple of days, we had lots of celebrations to attend! I will follow-up later with comments, when I have a lot of time! Hope everyone's Christmas was Merry:)

Best Buddies! Eliott and Wesley.
Giving Wes a big hug!
Cousin Kalyn holding little Adi.

Having a very serious discussion with Santa! We were shocked that Eli actually sat on his lap and talked to him. Guess he really, really wanted that blue tractor!
Do you think Adilyne has a clue what is going on?!?
A new 'toot-toot' from cousin Bailey!!!
Thank-you, Bailey!
Grandpa got a new wii for Christmas, now he can beat everyone in bowling!
Bobby was suckered into playing lots and lots of playdough with Eliott! Thanks, Great-Grandpa and Grandma, he LOVES it!
Playing the dice game- why is everyone so grabby?!?!
So sleepy Christmas morning..Eliott isn't used to being up until after midnight!
So happy Christmas morning!
Cozy Christmas jammies, and Cozy Christmas kisses:)
All the little kids got to put a candle in Jesus's birthday cake. Then they sang "Happy Birthday" and blew out the candles!

Eli likes cousin Jess. I love how little he looks on Jess's lap!

Eli didn't want her to tip over! Wes isn't sure what he's doing!
What a wonderful present!
Goldfish from Auntie Lori!

So cute with cousin Ally!

Finally Some Updates!

Daddy and his little girl! She looks A LOT like Eli did at this age!
Adi is starting to really focus on faces and toys. We noticed this the other night as she was watching the toys hanging above her.
We saw our neighbors while at the bank on Wednesday night. Their little boy, Ty, sure loves babies!
Eliott went with Grandma to see Rudolph, but he didn't want to get too close!
It used to fit his head!
Eli likes to help with the baby. He's trying to get her strapped in her carset. Too bad he can't strap himself in!
I love these cheeks!
For some reason, Eli thought he need to take his umbrella to go pick out a Christmas tree!
It's going to be a long wait until spring...
"Oh Boy"- Eliott
Baby sister was a big help with decorating the tree.
Not quite as big of a help as Eliott was.
We have lots and lots of decorations in one spot on the tree!- He sure was proud of himself!
Finished!

My first week back to work went very well. The kids were excited to see me on Monday, and by Tuesday it was like I had never left! I'm really enjoying my class this year. I have a fun bunch of 23 very nice kids. I am happy to be back in Kindergarten...this is the level that I really love!
Even though it's been nice to get back into a routine with work, it's still hard to leave my little ones at home. They were at Grandma's house one day, Denice's house 2 days, and Auntie's house 2 days. They all told me that the kids did very well...I hope they're not lying to me:) Eliott seems to be adjusting very well to going again every day. He was the one that I was a little more worried about. He's getting to be such a big boy, growing up so fast! Adilyne is a good baby for us. I just hope she is like that for everyone else! If she is fed and changed, for the most part, she is quite content. She loves to sleep, and LOVES to be held! She's a cuddler, Eli was not at all! It's tempting to hold her all day, unfortunately the house doesn't get cleaned, dinner cooked, or laudry done that way. She spends lots of time in her little chair watching us work around her. When we stop to chat with her, she usually answers us now with a smile! We are really enjoying the 'baby sister' in our house!
Chad and I have figured out a routine that works pretty well for us in order to get dinner on the table shortly after we get home so we can have some time at the end of the evening with the kids before we need to put them down. Eliott is really starting to be independent. He loves to watch movies, but knows that all his toys need to be picked up, he needs a new diaper, and his jammies before he can watch one before bed. This is great, except when he starts cleaning up already at 5:30!!
This weekend we spent some time working on wrapping, decorating the tree, and in a bit we are going to my cousin's birthday party to see St. Nick. We thought we would lay Eli down for a nap as soon as we got home from church. We tried that at 11:30, too bad he was still playing in his crib after 1:00. Guess we might not be on time....we tried!
These are just some random picture updates. We took the kids to see Mrs. Clause, Rudolph, and the elf at the bank on Wednesday. Eliott wasn't quite as brave as he was last year!
I'll update with pictures of Santa from today hopefully soon!
Enjoy the Holidays!!!
