Wow, half-way already!!! It's hard to believe that I'm already a little over half-way through. We will be going in for another ultra-sound in a couple of weeks! We can't wait to meet this new baby, and to find out what it is!!! We've been working hard to come up with names for the new baby. Our girl name is set-the same that we had picked the first time. Boy names are a little harder for us. We're still working on that! I've been feeling great, although Eli definetly wears me out throughout the day! I'm finished with school now, so I've really been enjoying this time at home. Eli and I keep very busy with play-dates, the park, the library, and swimming lessons will be starting soon for him. Our next big project is getting a nursery ready for the little one. Eliott is going to stay in his own room, and we will be converting the office to a baby room. If anyone loves to paint, let me know!!!
Your pregnancy: 20 weeks
How your baby's growing:Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.)He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).
