Have I already said that we love this time of year in our home? The smell of a freshly-cute Christmas tree, the beautiful cards from friends and family far and wide, making all kinds of cute Christmas projects, and keeping up to that silly elf named Clyde! I have to be honest- after stringing the lights onto the tree this year the kids took over, and did most of the decorating themselves! They did a great job, and had just as much fun looking at each ornament, remembering who or where they came from, and then giving each a special spot on our tree. I have to say- I was pretty impressed, with both how well they did, and the fact that they stuck with it through completion!

This is the ornament my Grandparents gave me the year I was born....Talk about special! |

Chubby little fingers putting together the manger scene. Doesn't get much better than that! |

And it's ok that Baby Jesus is hanging by himself outside of the manger. The stable has been rearranged about 145 times since this, and Jesus is currently staying warm inside with others gathered around him. |

The final touch that makes our tree complete is when we string the popcorn garland. This isn't a quick, easy task, and is currently still a work in progress. We work at it a little each day, and when we have a nice chunk strung, we'll throw it up on the tree. I love what popcorn adds to a Christmas tree! |

Eli loves to come home and turn on the lights. --One of the first things that happens when we walk in the door. |

The other day I caught him just standing, staring at the tree. He was looking at each ornament and didn't say a word. I wonder what was going through his mind at the time. It is definitely that 'magical' time of the year:) |

Such sweet kiddos! Love the popcorn string, we'll have to try that sometime. Orelia would probably just eat it all as we went along, lol!
