A Little Slice of Heaven

It was amazing, my friends...absolutely amazing.  The view, the sky, the ocean, the food, the drinks, the staff, the laughs, the fun, the friends, and the memories.  It was 100% better than I was even expecting it to be.

We are home, safe and sound, and REALLY tired!  Our flight got in at about 12:30 last night, and we made it to bed about 3:00 a.m.  The kids needed to be picked up by 7:00 a.m., so we were going on about 3 1/2 hours of sleep.  We were so excited to see them, though, we popped right up and ran out the door when our alarm went off.  My first impression of Beanie- she grew!!!  And my first impression of Bubbie- his hair!!! -(Those that have seen him lately know what I'm sayin'!)  We were happy to lounge the day away with them.  We played lots of games, playdough, puzzles, and read stories.  We also spent some time relaxing with a movie.  Everyone is tucked in early tonight, and the kids are lucky to enjoy another day at home with Daddy tomorrow.  Mommy needs to get to work and check on all the little ones there:)

I uploaded pictures today, and I think I had 278 of them on my camera.  That isn't counting the pictures from Ashley's camera, and our underwater camera!  I wasn't able to catch everything with mine, so this doesn't do the vacation justice.  This doesn't include any of the wonderful time at Dunn's River Falls, Margaritaville, or any of our fancy dinners. We need to get together and share them all.  Here's a brief peek at the wonderful time we had, the friends we met, and the memories we made!

We flew out at 7:00 a.m.  The sky was beautiful.

We were so excited, you would have never known that we were going on about 3 1/2 hours of sleep the night before!

There is it!- Jamaica.

The airport lounge was wonderful...We felt the Jamaican friendliness immediately.

Our first night heading out to dinner.  Friday night is Lobster night, and it was wonderful!

The next morning we relaxed on the beach...pretty much all day.

And played in the water.

And soaked up the sun.

Bayside restaurant...Our favorite!

Time for the pool.

The workers climbed a tree and handed down coconuts.  They told us about the water inside, and how healthy it is.  We all had to try it!

...peace...love...respect...

We played a few games of volleyball, and it was during this game that we met our friends.  2 couples from WI, and one couple from Canada. We hit it off, and spent the rest of our time together.

We hung by the pool with them.

Played in the ocean with them.

Ready for dinner...It was their 34th anniversary the weekend we were there, and boy were we lucky!  I have never seen so much food in my life!  And it was excellent!!!

This was getting ready to head out to dinner.  (Dinner pics are on Ashley's camera)

The next day we met up with our friends at the pool again...and we laughed until our stomachs hurt!

These guys were crazy!  Strangers were taking pictures of their crazy little stunts!

Chad, Jerome, and Nate did a little synchronized swimming show- Hil.ari.ous.!!!!!!

Sunshine, blue sky, and palm trees- Absolutely perfect!

We all jumped, and played, and rolled in the waves together until it was time to shower up again for another dinner.

This was so much fun, but left a huge mess of sand on our bathroom floors...Our suits were full of it!

There is a fun little waterfall in the other pool.

This is in the entrance to Tower Isle.  This place is so beautiful!

We did some walking and running through these trails.  It looked like we were in the jungle.

Romando was giving some dance lessons.

Ready for dinner our final night at Eight Rivers Restaurant.

...peace...love...respect...

The workers here were wonderful.  They were so funny, and they all had such a great sense of humor.  We really, truly, miss these guys!

And it's hard to believe that in 12 short (actually kinda long) hours we are back home and the weather is -18 degrees!!!!  But oh, so worth it to come home to these cute little faces!
I have so much more to share, but I'm too exhausted now.  Gotta rest up for tomorrow.  Enjoy your Friday!
