ECFE has been a wonderful thing for our kids. I was really excited to sign Eli up again this year, and possibly, even more excited to sign Adi up for her first session. We started Eli in ECFE when he had just turned 2, right before the birth of baby #2, with the intention of it helping to keep some "special alone time" just for Eli and Mommy or Daddy. We knew his world would be shaken, and were hoping this would be a special time for just him. Our first session did just that for him, but it did a lot more. Since he was not in a traditional daycare at the time, it helped with social skills, friendship building, and of course, the writing of his name and holding a scissors. We had such a wonderful experience that first session with him, that we have put him in ECFE every session since. This was the first time Adi has been old enough to be registered. Of course, without hesitation we signed her up also. It is now a special family night for the 4 of us. I love that my husband is such a good sport, and it's wonderful to see him be such an active and involved Daddy! - Little side note: Kuddos to him for attempting ( and succeeding) at taking both on his own while Mommy had conferences at school last Monday night:) |
